Anger and Hate: such sweet, sweet fruits
When others disavow us
Revenge and terror destroy the roots
Of harmony's glad chorus.
When, Dear Father, I ask Thee, when
Will the blood and tears stop flowing
Why do the sins of the Congressmen
Result in terrors sorrowing.
Woe unto us, the nations cry
There's nothing here to save us
'Tis a fearful thing to die
All are desperate, somber, furious.
Our people are more threatened then they can be
Pray for the world, and pray for me.
