If  You Want Want Equality, It Must Begin With You!
Lately, many people complain about how prejudice and disciminatory this country is, and what do they do? They make it even more so! They do things that will make life harder for everyone.
At first, there were just white hate groups, to make it seem that whites were the only racists, which is not true. The The newly developed Black Separatist hate groups, with Louis Farrakhan and Khalid Mohammed as leaders, concudes this fact. Surely all minorities get angry when White Aryans raise out their hands, and shout "White Power." Imagine how nonracists Whites must feel when a Black person holds out his fist, and yells "Black Power." In certain cases, when the Ku Klux Klan or other racists march into a certain neighborhood, Blacks and others respond violently. Wake up, America! You do not fight fire with fire! If you fight a person who talks badly about you, you will only prove that person right, and others will join that person. If, however, you fight violence with peace, the person will be proven wrong about you, and the person will either give up his hand in friendship, or he will be disregarded by his followers, and his voice will be silenced.
I have heard of how people wanted to get rid of the Confederate flag from the state capitol building in North Carolina. I am apalled by the display of the Confederate flag, because it does not always display Southern pride as so many delegates have so often suggested. It represents the slavery and oppression of American Blacks. However, I am equally appalled at the display of the African American flag at Malcolm X College in Chicago, Ill, because it it another way of saying "Blacks Only," as well as labelling Hillman and Morehouse as "Black Colleges" for the same reason. Blacks should remember when not only could they not study with other Whites, but their lives would be in danger for trying to study at all.
I am also Louis Farrakhan's theory that Blacks started civilization. I am against the theory that the Garden of Eden was in Africa, and that Adam, Noah, Moses, Jesus, and other Biblical characters were Black. Let's get this straightened out. For those who READ their Bibles, the Garden of Eden was in between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, which places the Garden of Eden in the Middle East, not Africa. Do not get em wrong. Some racist is not writing this. In racial terms, I am Black. I, however, an expected to represent all Blacks (African Americans in particular) and no one else. There are to be my people. I do not care who people tell me my people are. My people are of all races, religions, and classes, who are hardworking, honest, sophisticated, do not hate others for who/what they are, and do not blame others for their own problems, are my people.
Everyone born and raised in this country represent it, which is why I voted for a woman a while ago by the name of Minerva Orrozco, when she ran for Alderman in a Chicago ward. She would have been the first Hispanic Alderman in the ward, but she lost. When I told a woman that I voted for Orrozco, she said Orrozco should not have run, because she was not Black, and Blacks are the majority of the population. The same Blacks that believe this want a Black president in the near future. If this woman's opinion were true, then Blacks do not represent the majority either, because Blacks only make up 13% of the population. I myself would like to see not only a Black president, but a president of all races and ethnis groups, but this will not happen for a very long time if the belief of the aforementioned Black people were true. To those who have racist views, you cannot have it both ways. If you want to be treated equally, it is imperative to treat others fairly. Remember: if you want equality, it must begin with you.
