You played Satan in the Opera?

“Yes, Jerry comes down to my domain and I get to fuck with him. Not literally, although Michael Brandon is awfully cute!”

Did you get a choice on how to play Satan?

“They didn’t have any specific way they wanted Satan played. They wanted me to see what I found in the character. I thought his camp side was one of the most interesting aspects of him. It is close to Satan in South Park (the movie). I think he is gay in the most conventional way. He is the epitome of good taste, and style, he’s got flair, personally and all the good things one equates with a man of good taste but he also gets to be a lot of fun and camp!”
