Coach's Corner

After two games in the books, the Lions look much better than a year ago. With upgrades to the defense and the offense the Lions will be a lot more competitive. People say they won't make the playoffs, I'm with them. Although they won't be in the bottom of the league by any means. They have a pretty decent Quarterback situation. The Running back situation isn't that bad either. With vet James Stewart, Young back Luke Staley, and Denson. Denson I think will be the surprise this season If he get some playing time in the season he may end up Turing some heads, as he can catch coming out of the backfield and can obviously run. The WR's are fairly good with Rogers, Jefferson, Ricks at tight end, Hakim, Anderson, and Schroeder. This corps features speed, great hands, Wiley vets, and key leadership from players like Hakim and Schroeder. The offence of line is pretty much the same. On the other side of the ball the defense has a fairly wicked secondary led by new comer Bly, and Strong Safety harries. The Linebacker depth is stronger with key free agent signings. The d-line is lead by Robert Porcher. Overall their a fairly decent team. They have some depth. Mainly on offence I belive. If this team can play as a team, and they will. This team can finish .500 no problem.
