Literally, the nerve center of the department, the communications division boasts state of the art equipment and technology. While not yet operating a 911 emergency system, the department utilizes computer aided dispatch software, and latest NCIC computer equipment. There are presently five dispatchers, including the communications supervisor. All dispatchers have received training in emergency telecommunications, and are certified by the state.
