Show Barn
Here is where we house all the horses in training for a show. This barn takes care of most of the aspects of getting one of the stable horses ready for show. The only aspect thats not taken care of is the actual making of the horse. Thats where the infirmary comes in.
We house all sorts of horses in this barn, from the small Connemara pony to the massive Shire.
I'm working on my own show, "No More Melted Ponies", on Nov. 22, and possibly 23, of this year. More information can be found here.
Currently residing in this barn is:
Region 2 Championships!
As of Saturday, Dec. 6, Desert Moon Stables now has 4 top 5's!!
Here's the group.
Back row: Black Diamond, Paintalicious, Desert Diamond. Front row: Gem Fire, Rolling Stone.
Black Diamond
Paintalicious
She's kind of hard to see here, but she's that bright pinto facing you.
Rolling Stone (sorry, no individual pic of her)
Gem Fire (again, sorry, no idvidual pic)
and the only one to not get a top 5
Desert Diamond, seen here.
He's the darker FS, actually, he's a grey app Fighting Stallion, but I don't think he's highly liked because most judges go for the whiter app Fighting Stallions. And no, he's not yellowed, he's just really, really grey, unlike the lightly shaded app Fighting Stallions produced at the time.
All images from the Championship show were graciously taken by Marie Ferguson, who was running her butt off trying to get her horses and mine to the tables. (Thanks so much Marie for showing my guys for me, and for taking the photos!! You're great!!)
New Additions to the Stable
Highland Heather!
A SM scale Clydesdale mare sculpted by Hilary Hurley. So far she's unpainted (oh, my god! a naked horse!). As soon as I get some pics of her (both unpainted and painted) I'll get them up.
She's off being painted by Cheryl Calentine now, and I forgot to get naked pics of her! *gasp* Oh well).
One Hot Mama
This this the Heiress model, and man is she Hot!! Absolutely gorgeous! And to top it off, #13 of 200!! Woo-hoo! (oh, in case you're wondering, 13 is my lucky number)
Desert Rose
Gypsie Rose
Sasparilla
Rhiannon
Merlin
Winter's Lunar Eclipse
This is a Micro Mini draft horse that I won off of Ebay from Cassie Black, painted a dapple grey in pastels. This lady does some pretty good work.
images coming soon (as soon as i find my dig. camera again, that is, and get the poor horses back out of the closet)
well, got the camera again, just need to take the pictures now!
The Wanderer
The Haggis resin, sclupted by Kitty Cantrel, painted by Sheryl Leisure, of Horse Power Graphics.
1st, Artist Resin UK Heavy Draft, Reserve Champion, Artist Resin Draft, Jamboree.
The Wanderer now has his own page! He is currently vistiting (more like vacationing) with Mary Thomson and Cherie Buchheim. They are taking him on tour to different places. This guy gets to do more stuff than I! *le sigh*
- Aoibhneach, (lucky), Clydesdale stallion customized by Shani Ghyst
- Black Diamond, a Percheron Mare (what can't be seen is her beautiful neck shading and hip dapples)
- Sassen Brass, a Nation Show Horse stallion (who's trying to convince me and himself that he's an arab)
Other horses I have here, that arent part of the show string:
- Lunar Ebony
- Prairie Fire
- A Saddlebred Weanling
- A foal of unknown breeding
