A Note to the
DePaul Community:
Once
a year, each of us has a chance to make
a difference in the direction of our University policies,
advocacy, and communication in our community through our
election campaigns.
Monique Norington:
Presidential Candidate, Benjamin Ring: Vice
Presidential Candidate, and the United Students party believe
we all have a responsibility to not only the students of
DePaul University but also the larger DePaul community. One of
the ways we as students fulfill this responsibility is by
voting in candidates that will advocate on your behalf and
become the voice of your concerns.
Both Monique and Benjamin understand the importance of the St.
Vincent DePaul mission, and that is they will seek to push for
a "Unity Week" that will engage students and assist
them in providing students with the opportunity to embrace
diversity on campus and create a system to link students to
invaluable resources. We will also continue to advocate
on behalf of all DePaul students in the areas of tuition
reduction, increased funding for student organizations, and
promote awareness and communications between faculty, staff,
and students, while strengthening SGA’s internal relations.
Similarly, you will find Monique and
Benjamin’s previous track records in both Student Government
and other DePaul organizations prove that they can and will be
leaders to pioneer change, promote diversity and awareness,
advocate on your issues, and honor the traditions of
our wholly unique University.
More importantly, the Norington/Ring
campaign will get to the heart of what matters in your
community by addressing the underlying causes behind critical
social and educational concerns.
So please, browse the web site, and
fill out our feedback form with any comments or
questions. We look forward to hearing from you, and hope
to receive your votes on May 11th and 12th!
Thank you,
Monique T. Norington
Presidential Candidate
Benjamin Ring
