The Palace - October 5th 2001
I couldn't get as close to the stage with Rollins as I did with The Mark of Cain, and the mosh was insane. It was so close and so packed with pent up energy it was scary. I made it through the second song, incidentally one of the best songs on the new album, then turned to my brother and said lets get out of here, can't take it. He nodded and we turned. Next thing I new I was on my back, Karl was underneath me and I could no longer see Ash or Tim anywhere. Somone stepped on my head, I heard Karl yell as someone grabbed his hair. It was scary... I know what can happen in those areas at a concert, and with the on stage rage of the Rollins band, I knew this could get ugly.

I felt my glasses go into my eye, my camera cracked in my pocket. Someone grabbed my glasses and held on to them. More people went down. I tried to regain my footing, but the floor was too slippery. I fell back to the floor again. After four or five failed attempts I regained my balance and we tried to head out of the pit. My glasses were shoved back into my hand by a friendly soul... THANKYOU if you ever read this.

We struggled against the natural flow of the mosh and got to fresh air, where I slowly regained the site in my left eye enough to go back into the crowd, I was freaking out for a while!

We missed a song, but made it back fairly quickly to watch from a safe distance. I realised my camera was broken with still 10 photos left on the roll, hence i only got 3 of Rollins all up. These were taken with the camera high overhead and a hope for the best.
Despite only knowing the songs of the new album (I haven't heard Get Some Go Again, the second last album) I thoroughly enjoyed the whole set. The vibe coming from the true hardcore Henry fans was amazing. Seeing the Euphoria crossing their faces as their favorite tracks came on was awesome.

Henry is a true master of the stage, he knows how to work the crowd and how to keep the energy flow at a maximum. There were little to no breaks between songs and the crowd loved it.

My only complaint was the lack of a live performance on Liar, and I could see it in the other fans too, where was the favorite song? We yelled and screamed our lungs out for it but to no avail, the band left. In hindsight it is understandable, it is not the same band, they would have also been sick of playing the song at every gig, I would imagine everyone yells for it at some point.

Overall I was more than impressed with the performance put on, he is a master at work in his natural environment, the stage!!
