Denial was born in 1997 out of my frustration with getting old and playing the same old tournaments and opponents for 20 years. I needed something to renew my faith and enjoyment of the sport so a group of my friend and I decided to put together tours to new and exciting places a few times a year.

Our first summer we test-drove Denial to the Cape Cod and Harrisburg 7s - then to Mardi Gras and last year at Pelee (we try to return to the truly exceptional venues when we can). This year it was Belgium. Next year we want to return to Belgium one more time and would soon like to do Ireland or Scotland - it's always been a dream of mine to attend Maggotfest in Montana as well.

We always travel by the most affordable means possible - wearing the most festive clothing we can find.. We play our hardest, sing our loudest and revel in the fact that, at least for one weekend, there is no life outside Rugby .... hence the name Denial.

To date 70+ players have rostered with us. Pelee 2000 was our first 1st place trophy.
