"Your death shall be a sweet memory cherished and forgotten."
The Morrigan

Hoping to buy the rest of the spooks time to hide, Shep confronts the Morrigan, one of the Babd Goddess' spectres who tried, in the past, to disable them through their link to Matthew Alcome. Though confident in the powers his third tier Horror, Anathema, can accomplish, Shep feels his hopes fade away when he realises the two other Spectres join the fray. Though he catches them off-guard with timely use of Bedlam, Shep nearly falls into their clutches if not for the timely intervention of Annie Harper. Escaping to her Memorial, the two discuss the discovery that Memorials are shunned by the Spectres and find an unexpected guest joining them in the safety of the place.

"They found a way in.. We have to move..."
Bobby Channing

When the Spectral assault begins to grow in earnest, Bobby and Chantal discover Spite rats in the safehouse. Searching for the means the Spectres found a way inside, they learn that many of the non-humanoid spectres were entering through the water systems and pipelines. But when the biggest unexpected twist occurs and large Spectres summoned by Mister Jigsaw appear inside the safehouse and attempt to take the bodies of those who still have bodies away, the crucible realises that the bodies that vanished back in Orpheus during the assault may have been taken just as well. When Andrew flushes Jigsaw away with a nihil created with his newly acquired Fourth tier horror, the crucible decides to escape via a tunnel beneath the safe house and find some way to use their new found knowledge to their advantage.
