"Its the only way to be certain. The past is never unclear."
Kate Dennison

While the rest of the crucible hold the defenses of the safe house, Kate Dennison confronts Mister Jigsaw to explain exactly what the Spectres want. As well as who his employers are. Knowing that Banshee's Forebode abilities are only absolutely accurate when seeing the past, Kate opts to enter the Underworld alone and meet with Jigsaw's employers. She knows its a one-way trip but believes that by doing so, she can give the rest a chance to forearm themselves with theknowledge to make things right.

Matthew then confronts Mister Jigsaw and attempts to gain more information from him. He tries to misdirect the Spectre's statements and uncovers truths that the Spectres have kept from them. The multi-faceted views on what the hive-mind are revealled as well as the presence of the greater things called Malfeans that exist and used to rule the Underworld. When Jigsaw's logical analogies begin to wear down Alcome's belief that the doctor's Hippocratic oath is the solution to the problem with Grand Maw, Jigsaw finally reveals the information that Uriah Bishop was in many ways working for the same Malfeans in the past.

"Why stoop down to the level of human beings, Mister Alcome. Do you doctors feel guilt when you exterminate the nations of germs in a human body? It is all a matter of perspective."
Mister Jigsaw
