So, maybe I just spent my last weekend in Mexico. My mother is trying to change the ticket, still. At this point, I don�t even know if there will still be any spots left, but maybe so.
Went to DF (Mexico City) on Saturday. It was a nice trip, overall. Berenice�s mother drove, so I was happy that I didn�t have to pay for a bus ticket. I was a little annoyed on the trip because we got up early that morning because they said we would be leaving early. So I get up and am ready. Well, they take like almost 2 hours to get ready and we leave over an hour and a half late. This was annoying because I could have been sleeping. But I assume everything�s okay and we still have time. So, we get to DF and go to a museum. On the way to the museum they are walking all slow and taking their time (it was Berenice�s mother, aunt, and sister and me and Berenice) and it just seemed like nobody was thinking about the fact that we were supposed to be at a show at 12:30. It was already like, 11 and I�m thinking, "okay....how are we going to look at the museum, get something to eat, and get to the auditorium in an hour and half...but okay...I won�t say anything" So, we look around at the museum, leave at around 12, Berenice takes her time filling out this complaint form about some lady who she felt was rude at the museum, and next thing you know, her mother and Aunt are rushing telling us we have to hurry and get to the auditorium because we�re going to be late. I�m thinking, "Well! You DON�T say!!!- NOW you worry about being late." So, I�m hungry and we don�t even have time to get any food- not even a snack (it turned out we did, because they didn�t really shut the dors at 12:45 like they said they would). But I was just really irritated because like many Mexicans here, they don�t know how to make a plan and stick to it, especially when it comes to time. It�s like adding up and subtracting the time ahead of time doesn�t cross their minds- you just take all day to do something and then at the last minute realize there�s no time for anything.
The rest of the day was nice, though. At the audtorium we saw the Kiorsk (something like that) Ballet perform Swan Lake. The dancing was excellent and I am happy that I finally got to see Swan Lake. It was a Russian Ballet and it was cool because it didn�t matter where I saw Swan Lake since it�s all dancing anyway and no dialogue. Afterwards, we ate at this really good Chinese, no, Cantonese restaurant. I got sweet and sour chicken, rice, soup, and drink for about $4. The food was excellent and has left me with a craving for more Chinese type food. Oh, when I get back to the USA.....!!
I ended up spending the night again with Berenice. I had intended to go home, but it was kinda late and we were tired so they suggested I stay. I had said that I would go with them to church, but the next morning I was just ready to get out and go home. They (all except Salatiel) had slept all late and were in no hurry to go anywhere, so I just said that I had to go home to say goodbye to Claudia�s mother who had come to visit for mother�s day. I really just was ready to go.
Yesterday I walked around looking at some souveniers and such, ate at a really good place for $2.50 (I was so full when I left) and went home and pretended to study. Oh! I have to tell tomorrow about my bus ride last night!
