Just got back from the movies. As you recall, Wednesday is half-off day at the Cinemex theaters here, so I decided to go see a movie. I intended to see Kate and Leopald, but then I found out that Meg Ryan was in it and Im really not a fan of her. She just isnt one of my favorite actresses. So, when I got there, the movie that fit my time schedule best was "The Mothman Prophecies." I had seen a preview and decided to go for it. Let me tell you, this movie is awesome. It has Richard Gere in it. I had never heard anything about the mothman or the events that happened in Point Pleasant, West Virginia in 1967 and ended with the collapse of the bridge that killed a lot of people. Let me just say that it was freaky! I guess you learn something everyday. Funny how you can go for so long without hearing about something that is apparantly rather well known. Anyhow, I definitely suggest that you see this movie if you havent already.
Lets see- oh, had my very last class yesterday. It was literature. Thank goodness we didnt do anything. Our teacher, Maggie, brought us a cake. It was a cake called tres leche, which means three milk cake. It is very good- I had been craving one and when she told us last week that she would be bringing a cake, I requested that she bring tres leche. Its basically like white cake that we have, just a bit thicker, which makes good sense, since it is made out of 3 different milks. I was happy she brought it and it tasted great, but it is the last time I will eat tres leche in a while. I was so full after eating a small piece and almost got sick, like stomachaches and that kind of thing. I think that over the years I have started to become lactose intolerant, and this cake has sooo much milk in it! It seeps milk! But that was so nice of Maggie to buy one for us.
Today we have a graduation ceremony for the international students. I heard we get dinner and a t-shirt. I hope so! It is at 5, so I have about an hour to go.
A funny side-note. A friend of mine, Amy, in the computer lab yesterday got a prank email from a friend. You open it up and it says that you have received an e-greeting card. When you go to the card, it says that the computer can predict who you will marry- all you have to do is type in three names of people you have a crush on and it will tell you which one. The set-up is really cool-looking and real, too. When you do this and press finish, it tells you "Ha! Youve been pranked! Dont you know that anything on the internet that promises to tell the future isnt real?!" Then it goes on to say that the names you typed in have been sent back to the e-mail of the person who sent it to you! Is that not wrong!!!! We were dying laughing! How horrible is that!? So, I sent it to 10 people, but made sure it was 10 people who wouldnt get angry or offended. So far I havent gotten any juicy replies. My brother, who has a girlfriend, was so sweet. He had typed in his girlfriends name 3 different ways. Is that not sweet?! Another friend of mine, Lenise, had put in Jesus as her first name and then two initials for the rest. I liked that... The other few Ive gotten back I already pretty much knew what they would type. I sent it to Charles, but he probably wont do it or if so, hell suspect something since its from me. If anyone is interested, you can get the love calculator prank from a website called "cityhumor.com".
I will try to write tomorrow again. Ive been on a roll lately! Three days in a row! Hehe. I guess its just that everything is winding down and I have more time to write lately. Until tomorrow... Have a good one!
