Hi! Sorry Ive been MIA lately! I have been rather busy and unable to get to the computer at school. The only times I was at the computer were to do homework and to print out.
The weekend was really nice. I took Becky to Coatetelco and she really liked it. She liked the fish and usually isnt a big fan of fried fish, so that was cool. The little town of Coatetelco is so pretty. It is really rural but I like it a lot. I think I might take Chelsey there, since she loves fried fish.
Sunday was hectic. I got up and went to church to try to meet Becky so that we could get to the grocery store to buy some food for the party. Well, I found her, along with the guy who the party is for and his brother, and our friend, Daniel. They ALL decided to come to the grocery store. I was like, fine, okay, just hurry up. So, it took everyone forever to get to the car (I dont know why...) and finally we got to the grocery store. Oh, there was another person, too, this guy friend of somebodys who was visiting from Monterrery. Let me say that 6 people trying to walk around a grocery store shopping together is always a bad idea. Just doesnt work. So, we ended up taking forever, but at least at the end Daniel dropped me off at the bus station. That was the only reason I was in a hurry anyway, was so that I could get to the airport on time to pick up Chelsey. So, I got to the bus station and found out that I was 3 minutes too late for the bus to Mexico City and had to wait 35 minutes for the next. You can imagine I was not too happy about that. So, I finally got to Mexico City and was over an hour late for Chelsey. I walked around looking for her for like, 30 minutes, and then went to the info counter to see if the flight was late. It wasnt, so then I started wondering if maybe she didt get on the flight. These are all things that I wouldnt have to deal with if I had been on time. Anyway, after an hour and a half, I finally saw her. She looked so scared! She doesnt speak any Spanish and was scared to death! She had been waiting in the upstairs section where the flights let out because she thought I was there, but nobody can go up there unless they are boarding or exiting. So, she kept waiting for me while I waited for her. She finally figured to come downstairs. It suprised me that she didnt either follow the crowd or go look for her luggage. Anyhow, we got everything straight and finally got back to Cuernavaca after nine. I didnt realize that it is 1:45 minutes to Mexico City airport.
So, weve been having a good time. We were really too late for Rauls birthday party, but they saved us some food. It wasnt hamburgers like I wanted, because they thought that might be too much trouble. I am actually glad we made sandwiches instead, because I would have missed out on the grilling anyway.
Last night we were going to go to the outdoor restaurant here, Los Arcos, but a storm started coming up. It was really random and weird, too, because usually that dosnt happen around here at this time of year, and especially not with lightning. Anyhow, we rescheduled for Friday night because that is when they have Salsa (along with Tuesdays), so I wanted to take her to that.
Today we are going to Teotihuacan, so I have to get going. I want to be home for dinner, and it takes about 3 hours to get there. So, I will definitely type more tomorrow so that I can catch up.
