I have some things to be thankful for, though. One, thank goodness I had sense enough to know to get my hair done yesterday. That could have been disastrous. Also, I have been in the house all day today, so I had plenty of time to rest and watch the news and see what was going on and what I needed to do. There were a lot of reports about the airport and so forth, so finally, this evening, I decided to try to arrange a new flight. My flight was scheduled to leave at 8:45 a.m. tomorrow, but if I had done that, we'd have to leave the house at probably 4 a.m. because we'd be going so slow and because I'd want to have plenty of time to go through check-in and all. At that time in the morning, it would have been so cold and so dangerous. The roads are going to be icy because it won't stop snowing until sometime tonight.
Fortunately, the airline people were really nice and let me get a different flight. I am going to leave on Saturday, instead, and at 10:30! This is wonderful! Plus, I get to spend more time with Charles, who is still here. He was starting to think he'd have to spend the night here without me on Friday night, and now, he doesn't!
So, that is all why I still have two more days to go! This whole situation has been more than I would have ever expected, but it has turned out pretty well, so far. Hopefully, the ice and snow will be long gone by Saturday!
