| Wow. Its hard to beleive that Ive been here for two weeks now. Crazy. It funny, I was thinking that time might go slow for me while I was down here. What was I thinking? Time is flying, as is usual. It will be May before I know it. Speaking of what was I thinking, I missed my Latinoamericana Literature class this evening. I was so frustrated and mad because I could not find the classroom. I was already ten minutes late and worried that the teacher probably wouldn t let me in. I kept walking to the area where I thought the class was, and didnt see it. I thought I was losing my mind. So, I take out my notebook and check to see where the class was again, and it didnt say, but it did say that the class started an entire hour before I thought it did! So I was actually nearly an hour late. I couldnt beleive it. Even worse, we had done a group project that we had to present to the class and I had the paper that we had to turn in with me! I felt so bad. It was too late to try to walk in the class, and I would have tried to sneak in, but the classroom door was closed and I couldnt see in it. So, I just sad outside and waited for the class to be over so I could explain to the teacher. Fortunately, she was really nice and my group wasnt mad at me, or at least they didnt act like it. I turned the paper in, too. It turns out, the reason I couldn t find the class is because it is in a computer lab. I had forgotten. That makes good sense, doesnt it? A Latinoamerican Literature Class in a Computer lab. Gotta love it.... Anyhow, I went to the club, Zimbalays last night. Let me say, this place is beyond awesome. I am NOT and I repeat NOT a club person, but this place is unlike any dance place Ive ever been. It was spacious, but not too big. It had five floors, and a huge waterfall setup in the back going down 3 of the floors. There was a live band and the inside was so beautiful. The tables were set up really nice and there were gorgeous waiters walking around taking drink orders (sorry, Charles, just part of the details...love ya!). Anyhow, they didnt have strawberry daiquiris, so I got a lime one instead. It wasnt bad- had quite a bit of a kick, though! When we got there, the band hadnt started, so no one was really dancing yet. However, when the band started playing, Ill say give it 5 seconds and the floor was flooded. Ive never seen anything like it. I mean, people down here love to dance! The music was great; Ive already decided I want a band like this at my wedding. Anyhow, some friends and I went down to dance and within minutes guys were asking us to dance. We got so tired and the minute we sat down, here comes someone else. Like an endless supply and no one was afraid to dance. It was fun dancing, too, like real dancing and spinning around and stuff! The good thing about it was that after you danced, the guys said thanks, and left! How great is that!? None of this, "you owe me for dancing with you" type stuff! Hehe. I think I might go back again next week. I heard that its free every night for women, but only free for men on Thursday nights. If anyone is down this way, you cannot miss this place! Hopefully, I will get around to typing another entry over the weekend. If not, everyone have a great weekend! Hasta Lunes! (Until Monday) Adios! |
