6:00 p.m.
I had a really bad headache for the first half of the day and I couldn�t figure out why. I still don�t really know why. I had my glasses on for most of the day. I took them off for about 5 minutes, but I�ve taken them off for longer than that and was fine before.
I went to the International Programs office today to talk about some bills and so forth. Well, our person that we report to, Jessica (who is very nice, by the way), told me, "en, espanol, por favor!" which means, Spanish, please. She has been speaking to us in English so far! This was fine, though, because I know I have to practice, but then I had to speak to a man about my bill and she still made me speak Spanish! I sounded like an idiot! I couldn�t get across what I was trying to say because it was rather complicated and so, finally, we got everything straight but I felt like such a failure. I get so tired of trying to speak and understand everything all of the time.
Later, a friend of mine and I were talking and she had a really bad headache and so did another, and we all concluded that it is probably from trying so hard all of the time to listen, speak, and think in another language. I think that might be what it is.
Anyhow, I took a friend home today without telling my host family and that didn�t go over too well, and then, after listening to a 10 minute lecture, I ended up being late for my Culture Class. I was only like, 1 minute late, but the teacher said that I was late and had to leave! Now, honestly, I�m not mad at her, because I like her, and she told us from the start that we could not be admitted if we were late, so I was kind of expecting it.I figured I�d try anyway, though.
It turns out I didn�t miss much, and she didn�t take up the assignment, anyway. She told us to bring it next week.
Yesterday, I found out that I don�t have as much money coming as I thought I did, so that means I�m going to have to be on a tighter budget here than I would like.
Finally, this morning, I should have known it was going to be a rough day when I woke up at 6:30 to go to the bathroom, and came back to bed and couldn�t fall asleep. This made me very angry because I needed that hour of sleep. I ended up spending an hour sneezing and being stuffy because I�m alergic to something in my room. Nobody�s fault though, cause I�m alergic to everything.
So, that�s my whining for the day. Week, I hope. Month, I hope. Nah, it�s not too bad. I�m actually in a pretty good mood for everything that�s going on. Tonight is ladies night at a Salsa club and a lot of people are going, so I figured I�d go along, too. I think it will be fun! I�m going to order a strawberry daquiri! I�ve been waiting to do that! I don�t know- with the way things have been going today, I should probably stay put in the house! Well, more tomorrow!
