The weathers been kind of strange, lately.  Sort of cloudy and dark as if it is about to pour any minute now. But the temperature change is nice!

Okay! There has been a definite breakthrough! This morning I was so sleepy. I didnt go to bed extremely late or anything (like 12, I think), but I just did not want to get up. I think it was because I was dreading my Phonetics class. Not so much the class itself, but the fact that I wasnt even close to finishing the work and that I wasnt going to get up early enough to actually finish it. Plus, I had 40 pages to read for Literature that I hadnt read, and there is no break in between Phonetics and Literature Class to try to finish the reading really quick (as if you can read 40 pages of a foreign language really quick).
Anyhow, I seriously considered just laying in the bed. I thought of how nice it would be. Actually, I didnt seriously consider it; I knew I had to go to class. I mean, Phonetics only meets once a week, anyhow. So, I went and got to school about 45 minutes early because I was supposed to be meeting Becky in order to go over our homework and whatnot. We had kind of decided to get together at least once a week to work on work and so forth and then also to get together an hour before class to see what types of questions we had.
So, I get there and shes working frantically, too, trying to finish her work. Turns out she had gotten about as much as I had done. Becky actually has more of an excuse than I do, however, since she is, after all, taking 6 classes, all of which are extremely difficult upper-level classes.
So, we get almost everything done and then it was time for class. Turned out that we had actually done the homework wrong. We were working on the difficult homework that wasnt even due this week. We were supposed to have done the next chapters work and what we were doing was taking so long because it was actually ahead of what we should know right now. No wonder I spent so much time in the cafeteria yesterday getting nowhere! So, the teacher understood and let us work through what we were supposed to do on the board. Basically, to make a long story longer, today I completely understood what was going on in Phonetics and everything that we were doing in the past came together today. I dont know what happened. Actually, I think what happened was that now that we are doing complete sentence subscribing, the dividing syllables and whatnot is a lot easier for me to understand. In order to subscribe the sentences, there are a lot of rules to follow, but the rules are easy to understand.
I know all of this means pretty much nothing to anyone reading, but I was so happy that I felt like I had to share this. I am not dreading phonetics anymore. Plus, our teacher was really proud of us, too, I could tell. I think that getting together with Becky earlier this week for an hour really helped, because she explained to me some of the basics that I was confused on so that I could understand more what we were about to do today.
Okay, other that that, not too much is up. I intend on doing nothing this weekend, since I did a lot last weekend, so this means I may write again before Monday. I have a lot of homework to do and it would be so nice if I got it all done this weekend, so that next week I am not stressed. I have two appointments with Mexicans that I have meet this week (more details on that later), and those appointments will be next week. Just kind of get-together type things. Anyhow, I am excited because I love meeting new people who dont speak English. Basically, if I want to enjoy myself next week, I should do a lot this weekend. Also, I found out the dates that Chelsey is coming- March 10-16. That is just around the corner, so I really need to try to get stuff done so that I can have as much free time to spend doing things with her as possible. Gotta go!
