On Transgender Fiction

I have a few theories about TG fiction and why there are always the same themes running through the stories.  Also why there is a really high Geek Quotient (GQ) within our midst.  I'm just putting ideas out here, okay?

TG Fiction Resources

I've decided to add in some resources that may help people with their Transgender Fiction.

Tanner Stages of Breast Development - 5 natural stages of breast growth progression.

Women's Clothing Sizes - Need I say more?

TG Story Idea Farm - Post your story ideas or find some inspiration

Ear Piercing - Your lovely new ears - their care and feeding.

Manicure - The procedure and tips about acrylic nails.

Plot Devices and Responsibility:

I see most of the stories being broken up into three major categories:

1. Magic

2. Science Fiction

3. Reality Based

The reason for the Magic and Sci-Fi categories is obvious.  How in the world do you change a Man into an actual Woman?

Magic is the first place.  It is unexplainable phenomenon, the supernatural. (i.e. God, please change me into girl tonight.  Please?).  If you could just wake up and find that the transformation has happened out of your power, that would be the ultimate wish fulfillment.  It also holds with it a lack of responsibility.  Things happen to the victim of magic, it is in the hands of a higher power.

Science Fiction is the next refuge.  If we could just be smart enough, then we could figure out how to alter someone into the desired body.  This is very similar to magic, but the process appears to have much more ownership to it.  We have the power to shape our own destiny.

Reality based really is a huge category.  There's consentual, forced, B&D, FemDom.  It uses the technology known today or just deals with the emotional aspects of the transition.  In the case of many of these, the man is 'forced' to change.  This is once again taking the responsibility out of the hands of the 'transformee'.
