Anime

Cardcaptor Sakura is the first anime I watched which uses its original language, Japanese. I'm really happy I bought this anime and through this I first found myself interested in Japan, about its language, about its culture, even about its writing: hiragana, katakana, and kanji. I even started to like J-pop.

The anime of Cardcaptor Sakura was first aired in year 1998 and it ended in year 2000. There are 70 episodes all and consists of both the first season of Clow Cards and the second season of Star Cards. Cardcaptor Sakura also produces 2 movies in year 1999 and in year 2000.

There are some differences between the manga and the anime. For example :

In anime, Sakura catches the Fly Card using the Wind Card. while in the manga the Fly Card is hurt and Sakura doesn't have to do anything except to calm it down.
The Water Card in the anime appears in the Sea World, while in manga it appears in school's swimming pool.
the manga doesn't tell how Tomoyo knows about Sakura capturing the Clow Cards, while in anime does.

And other kind of differences, but they don't change the story much.
