"A Moment In History" An air cadet with the 255 Taber Squadron salutes a veterans grave at the Taber Cemetary on Remembrance Day. This was the first time Canadian flags have been planted at the graveside of veterans in Canada in a military ceremony. "It was one of the coldest days of the year Nov. 11, 2003 and I froze my hands getting this historic shot. It seemed odd to witness something which will go in the history books. There was no fanfair and no other press at the event. It was just me, a dozen cadets and a couple WWII veterans who organized the ceremony. This is my contribution to history." |
