Hello. Welcome to my site devoted to author, editor and larger-than-life character Harry Harrison. Harry celebrates his 75th birthday this year (2000) and it also marks the author's 50th year as a science fiction writer. I first discovered Harry through the pages of British science fiction comic 2000AD. Their version of Harry's famous Stainless Steel Rat books led me to seek out the original novels. Many years and many books later I was searching for a topic for my MA dissertation in American Studies. Knowing that there was a shortage of serious criticism of Harry's work, I decided it was time to make my contribution. On this site you will find my Masters dissertation. Please do not use material from these interviews without my permission. I hope to add further information and photographs to this site.
