This Gundam, upgraded also, is amazingly menacing to its enemy it is facing because its demonic looking apperance. Anyone who comes against this Gundam "Has got a date with his makr" in the words of Duo Maxwell, its evil pilot. The beam scythe is taken from the Grim Reaper and is extremely efficient in "hand to hand" combat. Also, the beam scythe, which is thought to be a thermal beam, can be used underwater, which goes to prove that it cannot be driven by heat.
The shield on the Deathscythe's arm can be released at amazing speed toward its target. That is how Duo beat the pilot who took the Wing Zero from Heero when he was overwhelmed by the Zero System. But the this weapon is discarded in the upgraded models because of its wings that serve as an excellent shield.
The Deathscythe, the Deathscythe Hell, and the D-Hell Custom prove to be very tough Gundams to overcome because of its evil and sly pilot. Nobody except Duo pilots the these Gundams, unlike the Wing Zero and its "Musical pilots" theme. The speed, the power, and the weapons are very impressive, no wonder the D-Hell Custom is my favorite Gundam. I rate the Deathscythe: 8.8, the D-Hell: 9.4, and the D-Hell Kai and perfect 10 because its my favorite!
