Mobile Suit Gundam. I think just about everyone who has heard of anime has heard of it or one of its many sequels or side stories. Mobile Suit Gundam is the original and New Mobile Report Gundam Wing is arguably the most popular here in the States. Well, take a look at these two screenshots from Mobile Suit Gundam and Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz.

Does anything at all look similar between the two? If you said "yes", you get a cookie. The masked character in the first picture is Char Aznable and is one of the most well-known characters from the UC timeline. The second picture is of the head crest on Tallgeese III piloted by one Milliardo Peacecraft who, incidentally, also wore a mask at one point. If you look closely at the Tallgeese's crest, it looks nearly identical to the crest on Char's helmet. So you tell me...coincidence or intentional throwback?
