We're ready for the interiors: the dashboard, electrical system, door panels, windows, seats, and all the deluxe features that help make the VW deluxe.
For example, the VW has: a gas gauge, automatic choke, automatic windshield washer, adjustable warm air outlets, safety belt anchors, sun visors, coat hooks, ash trays, assist straps, front passenger grab handle, door pocket, interior light, even stay
open door stops (that keep doors open to make getting in and out easy even in a heavy wind).
A Volkswagen wouldn't be a Volkswagen if it weren't for the room we built into the car. (Yes, we said room.) The VW is small enough outside to fit into the tightest of parking spots with ease. Yet it's big enough inside for a family of four. Or even five (if some members aren't grown-up).
Up front the VW actually has more leg room and headroom than many big cars. And completely adjustable bucket seats. (They move back and forth independently; recline at three different angles.) In back there's a real full-length upholstered seat. We also build more luggage space into the VW than you'd think possible. Under the front hood we give you 4.95 cubic feet. Enough room to stow one big suitcase. Or two medium-sized suitcases. Or a box chockfull of groceries. Then, we add a 4.95 cubic foot carpeted compartment behind the rear seat. With enough room for two average sized suitcases.
(Some people even put the baby there.)
