| The idea of digging myself out of bed at 6.30am has never appealled to me, but with the added attraction of a hour and a half ride in cold, blustery conditions hmmm?? We eventually arrived at Snetteron at about 8.30am and the sun was finally starting to shine!! The first lap out was a slow boring siting lap with an Instructor, cruising around at granny pace and every time I put some power down, I ended up stuffing it up the arse of the bloke in front! This track seemed to be very much a horse power circuit, with only two chicanes and loads of straights that went on for eternity. This was definately one track where the bigger bikes can come into there own. Second time out and the pace started to liven up a little. With Pete on my tail, I started to put in some reletively quick laps. Then suddenly, on the entrance to the final esses before the start/Finish straight it happened. A bloke on a Triumph decided to dive up the inside, innevitably he went in far too hot and had to stand the bike up, thus blocking the corner and my escape route. I had no choice but to stand the cat up and go cross country into the kitty litter. After the struggle to keep everything upright, I bunged it in first and powered out of the rough stuff and back on track. A very disgruntled Dean, let me tell you! The laps following that, I put my head down and layed down a bit of a faster pace. But even though I was litterally locking up the back end going into the corners, I still couldn't get enough drive out to keep up with the other bikes. The poor old Thundercat was looking old and out dated by the others, with a distinct lack of horse power (Time for a new bike methinks?) Even with everthing tucked in and behind the bubble, the other guys were steaming past on the straights? What I need is a bike that has higher pegs, harder suspension and drives out of corners (Preferably on the back wheel?) |

| A good action shot this one, but just after this was taken he blasted past on the straight and went in to the next corner far too hot. Innetivably, he ended up on the grass! Oh dear, how sad! | |||||||||||||||

| This is the corner at the end of the start/finish straight. This can be taken flat out if you have the right gear and balls of steel. | |||||||||||||||

| Just after the final chicane following the back straight. Very fast and flicky!! | |||||||||||||||

| Plenty of flat out straights and very fast corners on this track. Also this track is very forgiving when everything goes suddenly pear shaped. | |||||||||||||||
