Donington Park: August 1999
These pictures are my good friend Pete embarking on his first track day. He won't mind me telling you that he was a tad nervous.

He did really well though and the nerves soon went, as they were replaced with adrenalin or was it fear Pete?

Pete ended up with one excursion into the gravel and that was Copice, this turned out to be Pete's least favourite corner. Although he managed to keep everything upright, he still had loads of trouble getting out of the rough stuff. The back wheel got buried in the kitty litter and the more he tried to power out, the deeper it got. Eventually it got so deep that he could just get off the bike and it would stand up itself?

I know Pete thoroughly enjoyed himself at Donington and I believe that his favourite part of the track was the craner Curves.

But alas, Pete suffered with the same trouble as me. The standard exhaust baffled the bugger out of the bike, making it feel sluggish and slow. Won't be making that mistake again let me tell you!
Craner Curves: Here's he is, happily blasting through Craner astride the big Kawazaki.
Goddards Corner: Lovely delivery Pete, watch that kirb on the exit!
Redgate Corner: Pete's first look at redgate, I think his eyes tell the story better than I can?
