The Midnight had been at sea for three hours, when they reached Howlers Gulag. Graynar was quite sea sick, and was happy to be on land again. "Never liked boats." he told Boldan. "Up and down, waves, oh boy. Not my favourite thing." Hurokol instructed Renvale, Gunfar, and Wolf to remain aboard the Midnight, while he went up to the tower. "Can I have a walk around?" asked Wolf. "Certainly, but be carefull." replied Hurokol. "Boldan, Graynar, stay around here. Don't get into any mischief understand." Hurokol told them. "I have an important meeing and I can't have you two on my mind." "Yes sir, I'll make sure Boldan doesn't do anything naughty." said Graynar grinning. Hurokol left the two knights, and walked up towards Howlers Gulag. A man and a guard walked down to meet him. Graynar and Boldan were watching from behind the tower, intrested in seeing what Hurokol was up to. |

"Hurokol, it's about time you got here." said the man. "I was beginning to think you weren't coming." "Larkus Howlers, charmed to meet you." said Hurokol, with no sign of charm in his voice. "So Larkus, you have something important to give me?" "Hehe." Larkus laughed, "This is a package containing the you-know-what." he winked, and handed the package to Hurokol. "This package must reach Vazanay Hurokol. If it does not, there will be no king of Sikaron." said Larkus. "I understand." replied Hurokol. "I will deliver it, but tell me, how much is this thing worth?" "More than you mate. More than you." said Larkus, and he summoned his guard and walked back into the prison.
But he didn't get very far. An arrow had lodged itself in his chest. He fell down, blood flowing from his heart. Two men whipped into view ; They ran down the tower towards a small boat. They were headed straight for Graynar and Boldan! |

Graynar unsheathed his blade. He jumped up, and swung his sword at one of the incoming men. The man stumbled and fell, his leg had been severed. The other man leaped onto the small boat and began rowing away, but he gave a look of hatred at Graynar. Judging by the uniforms, these two men were escaped prisoners. |

"What happened!? Where's the other man? Who shot the arrow?" Hurokol was running towards them shouting. "He got away, but Graynar stopped this one here." said Boldan pointing at the man on the ground, rolling in pain. "By god! This man is lord Scorponis's old captain from the war years ago!" spat Hurokol. "I knew he was captured and sent here but, I had no idea he was still alive! Graynar, this man is known as captain Stingar. He was also friends with captain Vidok. You see-they're all connected!" "Yeah but, Vidok and Scorponis are dead. This man and Scorponis's brother are all that remain of the Scorpian hordes generals!" "Not true Graynar." said Boldan. "Scorponis had many captains, but most of them were killed or captured in the war years ago.There is still a few left; Stingar, Scorponis's brother Radak, and the man who escaped in the boat."
"Hurokol! We have to get out of here!" yelled Wolf, running towards them, back from his walk. "It's a set up! Radak knew you'd come here Hurokol. He's arranged this jail break to free the two captains and stop you getting the package! His ship is coming and he's got a catapult that can destroy a ship with one shot!"
Suddenly they heared Scorpian war drums and chanting;
Row, row, crack your back! Snap your neck, and kill a bat!
"You seem to know a lot about this plan Wolf." spat Graynar. "I have no idea what you're talking about." said Wolf quickly.
Suddenly a fireball came smashing into the Gulag tower. "It's Radak! We must get back to the ship!" yelled Boldan. |

They ran. Explosions rocked the island around them, but they did not stop. Stingar got up to get out of the way, but was obliterated by an incoming fireball.
Death passes no one! We are all but one! |

"Get the ship ready for departure!" yelled Hurokol. "Aye cap'n." grunted Gunfar. "Where's Renvale?" said Graynar, looking around. "I'm coming!" shouted Renvale, running towards the ship, his longbow in his hand. "I told you to stay on the ship elf!" shouted Hurokol. "Sorry, I didn't hear you." |

We will destroy them! We will kill them! We've got plenty of men! Than the rest of them!
With chanting clouding their minds, the crew of the Midnight, worked at double speed to ready the ship for take off. Finally the ship began to float away from the dock. Her sails were loaded with wind and she sailed away at great speeds. But to Boldan's horror, the Scorpian ship had just appeared from behind the smouldering gulag. "Graynar, that ship has no sails!" said Boldan horror struck.
Ho, ho, ho, run away! You're to scared to play! Now you'll die! Now you'll cry! As we slay you! As we slay you! Now you'll DIE! |
