Senior Telecommunications Systems Specialist VTC. Providing Video Teleconference Service to the United States ARMY Europe (USAREUR). Perform complex technical end-to-end testing on US military Video Teleconferencing (VTC) command and control communications circuitry. Analyze test and acceptance of the circuitry into the DII. Perform trouble restoration and maintenance functions to maintain the VTC Network. Perform complicated repairs of VTC circuits which have failed to meet the US military specifications through systematic troubleshooting, complex equipment conditioning, re-engineering / modifying, and retesting. Perform remote network management functions utilizing proprietary software to resolve operational problems throughout the network. Perform complicated re-engineering of communication circuits to effect integration or restore into the VTC network. Will resolve connectivity and interoperability communication problems for this prototype network utilizing state of the art software tools and diagnostics. Perform complex computer system trouble restoration on US unique conferencing and communications equipment including Polycom MGC-100 Video Bridges, and Promptus Inverse Multiplexers. Responsible for updating the Montage Conferencing Server computer software, configuring modules, defining end points, managing event messages and performing complex remote diagnostics. Responsible for the operation of complex remote diagnostics equipment and for the operation of, state of the art cryptographic equipment, to include management and control of the classified keying materials. Alternate administrator for 3 VTC scheduling servers that control the VTC Bridges that informs all network users and provides reservation scheduling and users’ information using Oracle data base computer application. Provides technical and operational guidance and direction to the US Military in establishing, operating and maintaining the secure command and control video teleconferencing systems. Maintain daily logs and reports and send them to higher U.S. military personnel for review of ongoing operations.

Advise in troubleshooting of complex electronic systems by interpretive reading on Transmission Monitoring and Control (TRAMCON). Operate and maintain a category V communication facility to include fault isolation and correction of digital and voice circuits traversing military and commercial satellite, microwave fiber optic cable media. I am the DPAS Administrator for six Digital Patch and Access DACS-II Frames. I am the controlling authority for over 3000 circuits. I am the site ATM Node Site Coordinator for the ATM switches. I perform engineering quality control and continuity testing circuits, trunks, links, system, and facilities. Provide customer services and response to operational direction for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Europe. Soldier – 31R. As a Multichannel Transmissions Operator-Maintainer. I supervised, installed, operated, and performed unit level maintenance on Line of Site (LOS) and tropospheric scatter communications systems, COMSEC devices. Served one tour in the Army, which included a tour to Bosnia and support for Kosovo. I was also the Team Chief for a RAU (Remote Access Unit/ MSE)/ V3 in which I was the supervisor for two other soldiers. I also worked in a Node Center Switch during combat missions.
