| The cherry blossom festival was held in Jinhae in April and the normally drab scenes of daily life in Korea seemed to be illuminated beautifully with the colors that dominated everywhere we'd look. |

| Did someone say long weekend? Lets get outta here! It didn't matter where, but we took a train and ended up in Daejeon in Central Korea. |
| Onwards to GyeRyeongSan (Rooster-Dragon Mountain) and a hike where we met some really nice people, one who guided us, and two more who shared their lunch with us. We chatted with them in English and broken Korean, before parting when we decended different sides of the mountain. The two temples were nice, but under renovation. |
| Kendra's silhouette at the front gate of Gongju's fortress. It was quite enchanting seeing a fortress and a temple which were once the stronghold of the kings of an ancient dynasty. Though it isn't pictured here, Magoksa temple was remarkable, not just because it was really old and really secluded, but also because it was really different than any of the other temples we've seen in its situation and layout. | So ended a great trip to a part of Korea we hadn't yet explored. It seems like there aren't many unexplored areas left, which means its almost time to move on! |
