This is my brief rendition of all that makes up the X-Man chronology. Below you can find a write-up of each issue as they appear in order. Also, you can grab a copy of the cover do download and look at at your leisure.
Also, if you notice something is wrong with one of my descriptions, please warn me about it. Thanks to a couple of people, I have fixed some major holes in the stories. To these, I say "Thanks!".

X-Man #16 - "Survivors of the Storm"
Basically, Nate and Holocaust battle throughout this issue, seeing that they still seem to hate each other (wonder why?). Holocaust captures Threnody, which leads to Nate surrendering (???). |

X-Man #17 - "One Step Forward"
The battle between Nate and Holocaust continues, with Nate at long last winning. Selene and Trevor Fitzroy meet each - with some bad results for our friend Fitzroy. |

X-Man #18 - "In the Company of Strangers"
Nate and X-Force hole up in Xaviers mansion - trying to hide and protect Nate from Onslaught. Sinister and the Marauders capture Threnody, who is hiding in a church. Then he goes after Nate, and defeats X-Force and Nate easily. (This leads into Onslaught: Marvel Universe) |

X-Man #19 - "Shades of Grey"
Sinister and Nate discuss his powers and the world that Nate left behind. Threnody is still being held hostage by the Marauders. She possibly hints at the fact that Gambit was once a Marauder. In the meantime, Onslaught has The Richards child held hostage within him. At the end, he tricks Nate and captures him to use his powers to make him stronger. |

X-Man #20 - "The Mourning After"
The "Onslaught" is over. Nate is free, but he's without Threnody, who is now being held hostage by the "Abomination". Nate goes down into the sewers to save her. He then battles the "Abomination", learning that Threnody and he knew each other. He makes him think that he had killed him, and he and Threnody escape. Meanwhile, The Hellfire Club make their way to New York. |
