Hi everyone! I had this site down for a while, and I intended to keep it that way until the article in today's Wall Street Journal advertised my site to its readers.
In January, I was contacted by a journalist who was doing an article on the official Dawson's Creek website. He had seen my site and emailed me to ask some questions. That email led to quite a lengthy conversation, and the finished product is the article in today's entertainment and technology section.
Although I wasn't featured in the article that much, the author did give out my website address, so I thought it my duty to bring back the site for just a little longer so that those who read the article can view my pictures and read the journals. Being fans, we're all interested in those that have gotten to meet the actors and visit the sets.
You will notice, however, that within the trip journal section, days 5 and 6 are no longer an option. One of the main reasons I shut the site down was that I had no time to devote to the site, and I honestly don't have the time to enter journals for those two days. Nothing much happened anyway. My friends and I were extras on Day 5, filming the same party scene as the previous day. Actors on set included James, Katie, Michelle, Meredith, and Kerr. Day 6 was spent with my friends on the public tour of Screen Gems Studios. It wasn't anything compared to what the rest of our group had gotten, but at least we got to see some of the sets...although we couldn't take any pictures or touch anything. And the next day, we all said "bon voyage" to Wilmington.
In January of this year, I made the trek back to Wilmington and met up with a couple of the girls from our first trip - Jacki, who had just moved to Wilmington the week before I got there, and Liz, who flew down from New York. We weren't extras this time around, but we did have fun. It seems everywhere we went lady luck was on our side. We found Pacey and Gretchen's house, completely by accident and in a dense fog too. We were brave enough to get out of the car and walk up to the guys who were going in and out of the house. After talking with a really nice guy outside, we were invited in to look around. We were introduced to about four other guys - all super nice. Later the set decorator showed up, and he put us to work. We made up Gretchen's bed and helped with the placement of towels and accessories in the bathroom. They were setting up for "Mind Games", which was to be filmed at the beach house for the next two days. Of course, we were there both days, and we did get to talk with Josh. He actually remembered Jacki and me from being on the set in August. Wow! We also talked with Sasha, who had just stopped by the set to say hi. Gotta say that she is such a sweetheart! And we had luck in other ways too, so much more than I can go into on this page. I'll just say that it was a really nice time.
Just to let you know, the guestbook is not up and running at this time.
