The mighty Ougon Oozaru transformation IS actually the true form of any legendary Super Saiyan. This transformation can only be achieved if the Saiyan has previously reached his Super Saiyan 3 limits, and has learned to tap into, and reawaken the hidden Saiyan powers within himself. Also, the Saiyan must either posess, or grow back his tail in order to achieve this transformation, since the tail is the main link to his Saiyan heritage.
The Ougon Oozaru form raises one's power level immensly. It could even sky rocket a few million levels above where it stands, making for a substantial power boost
Though the Ougon Oozaru is big in size, unlike the normal Oozaru, this Golden Ape can still move at a somewhat fast pace, giving him only a slight disadvantage in speed.
