To some of you out there, starting or running your own website may be daunting. But really, it's quite simple. All you need to know is where to start, and im here to help you with that. I suggest that you either start a site with www.geocities.com or www.angelfire.com they are probably the best two places to make your website with. Obviously, I use Geocities, but Angelfire is also good. Geocities is probably a little easier to use than Angelfire, but with Angelfire you get 50 MB storage space and with Geocities you only get 15 MB. If this is your first time making a website then you should probably start with Geocities page builder where you don't really have to know any HTML. After you get a site up and running for a while on a page builder, try to learn HTML or atleast some or the basics, which you can find on my HTML Basics page. When you are giving your first HTML based website a try, I suggest getting someone do do the layout's HTML for you, and the if u practiced some HTML like i advised you, then you should know enough to put up links and updates and images and the rest, so that you are now able to run the site. I aren't an expert at HTML myself, but i know enough to edit things and get a site running well enough so that i have it as close as possible to what i want. If you have trouble understanding parts of my tips above, please e-mail me and i will try to explain it to you. |
