BATTALION HEADQUATERS

THE KINGS ROYAL RIFLE CORPS

CELER ET AUDAX (swift and bold)

To all soldiers interested in the upcoming World War Two Online.

This Website is the home of the 2nd Battalion, Kings Royal Rifle Corps. We are a group of players for the upcoming WWII Online. For more information on the game, visit their homepage.

Keep an eye on the news page for latest news and developments.

This is the first website devoted to an General British (not specifically Welsh or Scottish) Infantry unit for WWII Online.

We are a motorised Green Jacket unit; that is to say that we specialise in rapid movement following in the tanks and stealthy operations often in dense terrain

The King's Royal Rifle Corps took part in the battle for Calais, undoubtedly the most successful land operation before the British withdrawal from France. Despite being outnumbered, outgunned and with only a few outdated light tanks and two old French field guns, these three Batallions plus a handful of French troops managed to resist and repel attack after attack on Calais. The three days that the British held up the German forces at Calais was an important factor in the evacuation of Dunkirk.

Once the game starts, this website will become a centre for planned missions (with password access!) and detailing our heroic exploits. I refuse to add a forum, not that I couldn't, becuase there are just far too many WWIIOL forums out there already and I have given up on checking them all on a regular basis.

All spellings on this website are ENGLISH, not American.

Highly polished perfection with knobs on, or rubbish not worthy of the space it should be taking up in the local landfill stie? Post your opinions and requests below in my guestbook. The more feedback I get, the better the site will be.

My thanks go to Colonel IH McCausland for providing a great deal of historical information
