| You only need to play and win one race to go home a winner. The surest way to go broke is to play favorites- The surest way to go broke is to play longshots. Most of the horses I pick are favorites. What makes us winners is by picking good favorites. There are many horses below even money that are not good plays. Listen to the groans in the crowd after most races. You dont know anything about handicapping until you learn how to spot a bad favorite. Every horse is capable of losing. Dont bet the farm on any one race. We are in it for the long haul and know (have proven) we will win around 60% of our plays. One good day, week, or month does not make you a good handicapper. We all have good and bad streaks. My system is conservative and tries to minimize losing streaks by only playing quality horses. You cannot determine how good a handicapper you are unless you keep detailed records. Its a black and white issue. (see my past performances) Handicapping is a life long sport. You can always improve! |
