In May of 2000, I came out of college and realized "hey, I need a job" and set forth to the friendly Wal-Mart store to fill out an application. I was then interviewed and then hired at Wal-Mart 2300, soon to be Wal-Mart SuperCenter (ugh) 2300, in North Fayette Township, PA, and was placed in the Electronics Department. Store 2300 is currently "going Super" and will be a SuperCenter when finished, and the target date for that is July 2001. As an employee there, I enjoyed my job as much as a person can enjoy their job in retail. I learned a lot of things about life in that store. How to deal with people, how to deal with evil people, how do deal with really evil people, how to maintain a schedule, how to work in a team enviroment, and the list goes on and on. That has helped me in life, and I had no idea that I would learn it, I just went to Wal-Mart to make some extra cash and I got more than a paycheck in the department of experience with the real world. I am currently on leave at Wal-Mart and will be back there on May 15th, so if you are at The Pointe at North Fayette sometime this summer, stop in and buy something.
