US Calculator:
By default the calculator is set up to work with the American version formula. To use the calculator, simply select the "Calculator" tab at the bottom of the screen. Enter the amount of calories, total fat and fiber of the food item into the corresponding fields. Then hit the "GO" button on the keyboard and iWatchr will perform the calculation for you. As per the normal formula, you can enter any value of fiber you want but the most it will calculate is 4 grams. If you enter a value of 2 grams of fiber, iWatchr will calculate it as 2 grams but if you enter any value greater than 4, say 8 grams, iWatchr will calculate it as 4 grams.
Your calculation will also be temporarily saved in case you need to reference it when entering a new food into your log or into favorites. If need be, use the calculator, then when entering a new food if you go back to the calculator to remember what the total score was, your total will still be there!! The last calculation stays there until a new one is done or the iWatchr application is closed.

If you have changed the calculator to the European version in iWatchr's settings, you'll have the "Euro-Watchr" calculator (European version). The same thing applies to the European calculator as did the American on how to use it. Enter the values in the corresponding fields and hit "GO" on the keyboard to perform the calculation. There is one thing unique with the European calculator and that is how many fields can have values entered into them. The European formula uses either Calories with Saturated Fat or Kilojoules with Saturated Fat so therefore you have the choice on which one to use.
If you want to use Calories, simply enter a value into Calories field and Saturated Fat field but leave the Kilojoules field blank. If you want to use Kilojoules enter a value into the Kilojoules field and Saturated Fat field but leave the Calories field blank. Don't worry though if you accidently enter a value into both Calories and Kilojoules. iWatchr won't perform the calculation and it will notify you it couldn't because both of those value fields were filled in. At that point just delete the value in one of those fields and you will be able to continue.

Bonus Score Calculator:
To use the Bonus Score Calculator, enter your body weight, the amount of time you exercised and select which level of exercise you obtained. You can enter your body weight in pounds or kilograms. Just go to the iWatchr settings section in the iPhone 'Settings' app and select whether to use pounds or kilograms. Selecting the level of exercise will calculate the score as will the 'GO' button on the keyboard. To determine which level of exercise you obtained, first figure out your Maximum Heart Rate (MHR). 220 - (your age) = MHR. Now, after you exercise, if your heart rate is 40% - 54% of your MHR, then you would select 'Light' as your level of exercise in Bonus Calculator. If your heart rate is 55% - 69% of your MHR, then you would select 'Moderate'. If your heart rate is 70% or above then you would select 'Heavy' as your level of exercise. The default setting for bonus points is rounded off to the nearest tenth (for ex. '5.7').

Rounding Off Totals:
iWatchr comes with the ability to change the way the total gets rounded off. (Maybe you like to account for the left over decimal digits after performing your calculations!!). The default settings for the calculators are that the US Calculator rounds off to the nearest whole number and the Bonus and European Calculators round off to the nearest tenth. The 'total points' in the daily log gets rounded off to the nearest whole number as well. If you want to change these, go into the iPhone/iPod Touch's 'Settings' app on your Home Screen, scroll down to the bottom of page and select iWatchr. In here, turn the switch 'off' for the corresponding calculator you want to change to have the total rounded off to the nearest whole number. Turn the switch 'on' if you want the total rounded off to the nearest tenth (for ex. '5.7')

History/Daily Log:
To use the History log, hit the 'New Day' button to start a fresh new daily log. Then just select that day and it will bring you to a screen where you can start entering food. Then just select which category (meal) you want to enter the food in. This will bring you to a view where you can name the food and give it a point value. You can use whole numbers or decimal points when assigning point values although if you plan to use decimals often, I suggest turning on the decimal option in "Settings". This way iWatchr will give precise point totals instead of rounding it off (unless you prefer that!!).

Settings:
iWatchr has a lot of settings that can be easily changed to your liking. To access these settings open the regular apple "Settings" application. Once opened scroll all the way down until you see a list of applications that you have installed on your device. Find the iWatchr row and select it. This will bring you to a view where all iWatchr's settings are.
