Mission/Focus
A. Educate the community about canine/human relationships and related public issues
B. Form and manage a respectable, respectful, and effective citizen's lobby on behalf of dog owners
C. Promote responsible dog ownership
D. Identify and raise capital for the development of off-leash dog exercise areas and other resources
Background
The members have come together out of a common concern and interest for canine behavior and local public policy affecting dog owners.
The Vision
Dog owners requested that sites be accessible and large (multi-acre: comparable to the area adjacent to the cemetery). Given limited city resources, it will be difficult to satisfy both requirements. The best solution is a permanent plan that incorporates both smaller neighborhood runs and larger dog parks.
