What is the difference between a
"dog run" and a "dog park"?
Dog Runs:
--Serve neighborhood residents and their dogs, mitigating traffic and noise concerns
--Are small and currently are not fenced
--Exist currently in some City Parks
--Part of the master plan as new neighborhoods and greenbelts/parks are developed

Dog Parks:
--Serve all residents and their dogs
--Are large in size (multi-acre) and must be fenced
--Must be developed and maintained as a permanent resource
--May require that residents drive to locations away from their neighborhoods
--Are strategecially planned and developed to serve geographical regions of the city
--Are part of the Parks and Recreation Commission Master Plan
