Press Release: Old Town Holiday Market Date: 12-5-04 Released for publishing: 12-7/8-06 Contact: David Willhite Email: david@davidwillhite.com Bandon�s Old Town Holiday Market is taking place for the next two weekends, inside the McNair Building, by the arch, at the entrance of Old Town Bandon. Artists and skilled craftsmen from around the area will come together to sell their work Dec. 9th & 10th and Dec. 16th & 17th from 10 a.m. � 5 p.m. Old Town Bandon will also have a wonderful opportunity for everyone to enjoy with their annual holiday lights celebration on Dec. 9th Items presented for sale will include handcrafted leather, oil paintings, glasswork, pottery, stone sculpture, kettle corn, handmade soaps, photography, lanterns and more! Kathleen Clifton, wife of leather crafter Jim Clifton, will have their hand stitched leather cell phone holsters, fishing tools and knives, as well as their patented E-Z Out knife sheath. Jeanne Thompson, wildlife artist, will return with her fabulously detailed paintings of elk, wolves, deer, birds and horses. Her work ranges from majestic depictions of a bugling bull elk, to heart-warming baby animals, full of detail and realism. Often, Jeanne has to remind those who view her work, that it is not a photo, but painstakingly painted oil paints. Her originals and prints would make a fine addition to anyone�s art collection. Donna Elliot will be demonstrating her glass bead making skills again, working hot glass in the flame of her propane/oxygen torch. She makes her beads into jewelry ranging from bobby pins to necklaces and earrings. David Willhite, �the pottery guy� will bring his latest wheelwork to the show, fresh from the kiln in his home-based studio. From mugs and bowls to sponge holders and soap pumps, David�s work has brought enjoyment to thousands of loyal customers throughout southwestern Oregon. On Dec. 16th & 17th, Gerard Krimmer will grace the Old Town Holiday Market with his alabaster and soap stone carvings. His sculptures of marine animals and fish have lent a distinguished sophistication to homes and businesses throughout the United States. Collectors and art enthusiasts alike seek after his limited production of one-of-a-kind pieces. Carl and Dianna Linam will be making fresh popped kettle corn at the McNair Building both weekends, for all to enjoy the delicious tastes, sights and sounds of their extra fluffy, crispy-coated corn! They�ll have their original lightly sweetened, slightly salty kettle corn, made with C&H sugar, as well as a health-conscious type sweetened with Spleda. Perhaps, they will even have their chocolate-coated variety� Handmade soaps by Barbara Dolan, of Gold Coast Soaps, will be for sale by the bar, or in bundles. Her broad selection of scents are sure to please and keep you coming back for more! From swirly red and white peppermint soap for the holidays, to more year-round fragrances, her all-vegetable oil soaps are a pleasure to use. They�ll turn washing your hands into a �bring-a-smile-to-your-face� olfactory experience. Denise Bruchman of Jefferson, Oregon will be traveling to the show with her stunning photography, capturing and preserving the most fascinating images from around the Northwest. From cards and prints to limited edition pieces on canvas, her photographic representations will leave you breathless. Lantern makers from Charleston�s own �Northern Lights� store will bring their unique creations to the Old Town Holiday Market. Press Release: �Bandon�s Old Town Holiday Market� Date: 11-7-06 Contact: David Willhite, 541-266-9473 The first annual �Old Town Holiday Market� will take place in Bandon, at the newly remodeled McNair Building Nov. 11-12, Dec. 9-10 and Dec. 16-17 from 10 AM to 5 PM. Among the festivities will be Art & Craft Vendors selling a variety of gifts. Always a favorite, Bandon�s Best Kettle Korn will be there, serving up the finest popped corn on the south coast. Karl & Di produce several flavors of their mouth-watering delights, including snicker-doodle, caramel, chocolate and regular kettle corn. For those who prefer a sugar-free snack, they also have a variety made with the sugar substitute �Splenda�. David Willhite, owner and potter of Mossy Rock Pottery will have his hand-made pottery for sale. He makes finely crafted mugs, bowls, soap and lotion pumps, toothbrush holders (that can hold �chunky handles�) and sponge holders. He will also be producing a real holiday favorite, his �coffee-lover gift packs� made up of a crate, stuffed with coffee mugs, gourmet coffee, flavored syrup and chocolate covered coffee beans! Oil Color Artist, Jeanne Thompson will be there with a large display of her nature scenes, paintings and prints. Widely acclaimed as one of Oregon�s best Oil painters, Jeanne has graciously agreed to make a rare appearance here on the coast.
