I have received some new information on the father of John Longfellow b 1767.The information comes from manuscript and Bible records of William Longfellow born 23 Dec 1713 died 9 March 1792, son of William and Elizabeth (Ringgold) Longfellow and from records of his Grandson Jonathan Longfellow b. 1 Dec 1778. The records were shown to attorney H.H.Hutchins signed and Notarized that he viewed them in manuscript and Bible forms and that they are true and correct to the best of his Knowledge.
The records show John born 1767 that migrated to Indiana and had
a son named James and that he died in 1870.The record shows that his father was William Longfellow born Dec 23 1712 and his Mother Mary Jansen. I also found a marriage record that he married to Sarah Harper 18 Jan 1797 in Kent County,Delaware. Was Sarah his wife in Indiana or was it a Mary? Who know's for certain let me know. They had four children:
1)James Longfellow b.27 Apr 1799 in Kent,Delaware
2)Mary Longfellow b. 1802 in Kent, Delaware 3) Elizabeth Betsy
Longfellow born 1804 in Ohio? Is that right? Did John migrate to Ohio with Joseph,and one other? Who was the other Elijah? I know these three went to Ohio right about the same time.Anyone knowing please let me know. 4)William Longfellow born 24 Sep 1807 in Ohio and he married a Sarah Roe on 7 Aug 1831 in Randolph,Indiana and they had 7 children: Thomas,Elizabeth,John,James P.,Margaret,Sarah,and William D.Longfellow.

married to Nancy Overman 8 Jun 1820 in Randolph,Indiana. They had 10 Children: Not certain of the order but they had 1) Tamar that married Eli boswell 2)William that married Marinda Eliason 3)Cornelius that married Lydia Mills 4)Julia Ann 5)
John born 8 Jul 1821 in Wayne,Indiana 6)Mable Jane that married Harlan Hunt 7)Mary A.(Polly)b. 1836 in Wayne,Indiana that married Jesse Hunt 8)Zebulon ?
9)Albert and 10)Matilda that married Kinsey Mains. Any new information on this family would be appreciated.
