The war between truth and error, right and wrong, as depicted on this page is the one that I have had in finding any kind of records about Elijah's Family. The Myth of the Flying Dragon of Maryland and Delaware in the 1700's, that flew around destroying records is presumed correct. I have ran into some records that may be the missing link for Elijah's family, but if any new information can be found it would be appreciated. John Longfellow b.6 Jan 1740 that married Elizabeth Bradley. The manuscript records of William Longfellow born 1712, brother to Jonathan (called John) listing the other children in Jonathan's family being born in the very same location. It is believed that This Jonathan lived in Murderkill,Kent, Delaware paying taxes since at least 1753 or the John listed there was John born in 1740. Jonathan lived in the same neighborhood as his brother William and his descendants, and Thomas his younger brother. The family of Jonathan and Elizabeth turner was the only family in the record not being complete and noted so.Anyone that could provide any kind of record for either John's would be greatly appreciated. Elijah can be found with his brothers in Kent,Delaware having the same amount of property as his brothers and just a few short years after their father's death all migrated to Ohio about 1803-4.It is also not known which John Longfellow married to Rosanna S. Gary. One would think that this is where Gary Longfellow came from. Elijah Longfellow married Elizabeth Badger abt 1793.

This family migrated to Hamilton, Butler, Ohio in about 1804 it is believed. Any information on this migration like who he migrated with or when he arrived in Hamilton would be appreciated.ELIJAH LONGFELLOW raised his family in Hamilton and died on 26 Jul 1849 and was buried on their farm in Hamilton, Butler, Ohio. Also seeking pictures of the Longfellow farm the graveyard, tombstones etc. Also seeking anyone with information on Elijah's family, his parents, brothers and sisters, his Wife, his descendants, etc. would be greatfully appreciated, Thanks in advance,[email protected] David Uhrey 2127 Ridgewood Way,Bountiful,Utah 84010
