Badger made the move with his Family in about 1803 and migrated to Hamilton, Butler, Ohio where they ended up by 1813 when Elijah bought property. I have not yet found their migration path so I'm not sure where they may have been in 1810 on the census. Not yet certain if Elijah made the move with Joseph Longfellow born 1765/6 but It's possible that Joseph was Elijah's older brother by a year or so or maybe just a cousin.I've read that Joseph migrated through Kentucky and Elijah may have gone this same route. Anyone with any kind of information about this please email me. Badger married in Butler County, Ohio to Elizabeth Gordon 18 Dec 1817 and they had 8 children: 1) Mary Longfellow abt 1820 and she married William Scott 10 Oct 1839. 2)Abner Longfellow b.16 Jan 1823. 3)George Longfellow abt 1824 4) Levi Longfellow b.1826 5) William Longfellow b. 1833 6)Daniel Longfellow b.1834 and he married Margaret Delaplane 1853 in Butler, Ohio. 7)James Longfellow b. 1836 and 8) Ann Longfellow born 25 Mar 1838 in Butler County, Ohio. Badger died Aug 1846 and was buried on the farm in Butler, Ohio.Elizabeth Gordon died 8 May 1851 in Hamilton, Butler, Ohio. Any new information on Badger's family would be appreciated. I am searching for any descendants of Badger Longfellow. Email me at [email protected]
