The politicians I admire include Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Ronald Reagan, but the politician with the greatest influence on my political ideology would have to be Robert Kennedy.  His zeal to fight for the less fortunate along with his moral strength has helped me to lead my own life.  I will fight for all Tennesseans.  I will fight for growth in our state, as well as fight to keep the country charm we all enjoy and benefit from. "I do not enter this campaign to oppose any one man, but to propose new legislation."  I will be open to new ideas, and always seek a better way of solving our societies problems.  I believe we must remember our past in order to achieve success in our future.  Our forefathers envisioned a government which would follow the wishes of its people.  When elected I will keep their vision, and insure your voice is heard.  I will work with diligence to improve our society.  I will represent you and obey the will of the citizens as our forefathers envisioned our government should be run.  The opinion of the majority should never be overruled by the selfish desires of the few.  As the majority of Tennesseans, I feel it is time for unnecessary legislation to end.  We as citizens of Tennessee, need to take responsibility for our community, our neighborhoods and the future of our children. Our nation was not founded on the belief that the government rules over the people, or we need every aspect of our lives legislated upon. I believe the government has become a big watch dog, and resembles more of a government of legislation without true representation.  You can touch, but don’t taste.  You can taste, but don’t smell.  Smell, but don’t look.  Look, but don’t hear.  Yes we need laws to protect us, and to govern against lawlessness, but many laws and social reforms created over the past 40 plus years have failed to improve life.  Instead they have hindered our personal freedom and our growth.
When will it all end? Like you I say NOW! "Do not ever allow your heart to become apathetic to the beliefs of our founding fathers."  Do not believe with your heart that government can’t be changed to fit the desires of the people.  Our forefathers envisioned a government that would represent and serve the people, improve their lives, and guarantee personal freedom.  "United we will stand, divided we will fall." Together we can make a change.  If together we make a stand, we can stop the down hill spiral our government and society has taken. If we are indifferent to our current situation, the beliefs which made this country great will be forgotten, and we will end up like all great societies and fall.
