The saying
"I
would rather live one day as a lion, than a hundred years as a lamb"
is a perfect summation of my life. I have had to fight for everything
I have ever received, and I would not have wanted it any other way.
I believe I strongly represent the majority of our citizens, who have had
to work long hours sometimes for very little pay. I have experienced the
worry of putting food on my table, gas in my car, and the overwhelming
burden of affordable medical care. I’ve seen the struggle seniors
have to deal with in medical cost, and hospice care. I know what
it means to be without job security.
Tennessee is known as the volunteer state for our history of giving to our country. I believe you must be willing to give in order to receive any benefit from life. We as citizens of Tennessee must work together and take responsibility for improving our lives with service to our country, we must serve to improve our community, service to our closest neighbors, and service to those who cannot fight on their own. "Some people see things the way they are and question why? I dream of things that never were and say why not." We must be open to new ideas, and work together in our ever changing society. The Tennessean ideology of giving of ones self for the better good, is a perfect model for all societies to follow. My entire life I knew what God put me on this earth to accomplish, I was put here to serve! Serve my God, Serve my country and to serve my neighbor. All Tennesseans are my neighbor, and I will be proud to serve you as our forefathers did, with one eye on our great volunteer history, and one eye on our future. My goal when elected, will be to make Tennessee the role model for all Americans to follow. |
