| 4/26/05 Becky and David's Mimi and Papaw arrived last night to help Cindy with last minute preparations. David and I cleaned our house under the assumption that everyone would want to come by and see it. Monica highlighted the rest of my hair... not too dramatic, but it lightened it up. David got his outfit for the wedding, thanks to my visit to Banana Republic. ($$$) Got a prescription for motion sickness medicine from Dr. Ott... thank you! Had the BCP prescription filled! No honeymoon babies for us! Bought new clothes for the honeymoon... excitement! Today, David and I are getting our marriage license. We are borrowing a karaoke machine from my cousin Kyle. 4/25/05 Made it through the weekend! Friday night, I helped Mom hem dresses. Saturday, I went to Sam's with Mom and Cindy to stock up on supplies. Saturday night, I had my bachelorette party at the Hofbrauhaus in Newport. Monica, Camille, Leslie, Shelly, Jaclynn, Lisa, and Yara Beshara all came. Thanks a lot, girls! Sunday, my mom and I hosted the bridesmaids' luncheon, so I could give out my gift bags. Bridesmaids and flower girl were in attendance. Mom and I also started to put together favors for the wedding... less than a week now, folks! David's ring officially arrived, and I had to tell him that I had gotten the more expensive band that he wanted. I had originally planned to keep it a secret... so he would keep complaining about how cheap I was. But then I was worried that the ring wouldn't fit. It does! The engagement announcement should appear in the Winchester Sun by Thursday at the latest. And I will probably be updating every day this week... Updates Added photos from the Caudill-Crowe bridal shower. Click here! 4/22/05 Today is David and my two year anniversary! Only 7 days to go until the wedding! Bridal portrait and engagement photos were taken yesterday. We ordered the pulled pork from Critchfield's Meats in Lexington... yummy! Ordered more supplies from Oriental Trading, and confirmed that David's ring was in the mail. Tried the recipe for Hawaiian Baked Beans... very good. Officially starting to tan, unofficially off the diet... too much stress! Bachelorette party scheduled for April 23 and Bridesmaids' Luncheon scheduled for April 24. David's mom bought shirts for the groomsmen in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge... David isn't excited, but he waited much too long to complain now. Bridesmaids' dresses are done with the exception of hemming, which we plan to do tonight. 4/12/05 Only 17 days to go!! Got our cruise docs in the mail. I was hoping for an upgrade, but David said we did not get one. Here's to hoping that something materializes before we set sail! We also booked our very first excursion... cave tubing in Belize! This and visiting ruins were the only two I really wanted to do, but we're having some trouble deciding which Mayan ruins to visit. Getting the dress hemmed tonight, and I hope to set up time for a bridal portrait sometime next week. Engagement announcement should be in the Winchester Sun soon! Click here to read our story - how we met and fell in love. 4/8/05 Getting a little apprehensive about the state of the wedding. David and I are at each other's throats about every day! Susan (TA) received our travel documents today! Yay! We can finally go on our cruise! Cindy and I will be having the menu talk on Monday; hopefully, I'll be able to post that sometime next week. Already got a couple of RSVPs! Keep 'em coming! Last of the invitations went out today. If you don't receive one for one reason or another, let me know. Things were thrown together, and I had no help in addressing them. The fourth groomsman is now official: Chris Shearer! 4/6/05 I had a wonderful time at my bridal showers two weeks ago! I can't believe that many people wanted to come celebrate with us before the wedding. I got to meet lots of David's family that I had never met before, so that was really nice. The wedding dress has arrived! There was a little bit of drama about getting the dress, but it is in Lexington and needs to be hemmed. Invitations went out in the mail yesterday, so watch for yours!
