| ARGENTINA NEWS |
| Argentina started as the freight train of South America. Unfortunatly the train seemed to derail somewhat towards the end of the campaign losing three of their last five matches. Previous to that their only loss was to long time rival Brazil. Argentina found they came second based on the goal difference but that didn't stop goal poacher Hernan Crespo from nabbing seven goals during the campaign. Crespo proved far and away he was the best Argentine in fromt of goal, four goals higher than Juan Riqueme, Pablo Aimar and Confederations Cup star Luciano Figueroa (left). |
