| LIVIN' LA NOVA SCOTIA / Day 5: Lunenburg & The Coast Driving south after our stop in Kejimkujik National Park, we hit the coast and followed the "Lighthouse Route" east to the harbor town of Lunenburg. If you're familiar with old port cities like Portsmouth, NH or Newburyport, MA, Lunenburg is similar. Long a home to fisheries and trawling fleets, it now teems with genteel shops, quirky artisans and tourists drawn by the great vistas, fine houses and colorful history. |

| What better way to see a port town than from the water? We boarded the sailboat Eastern Star for a two-hour tour, bidding temporary farewell to Lunenburg's tightly packed houses, ships and wharves. As you can see, Elsa even took a turn at the ship's wheel. | ||||||||||
