My computer's been dead for about two weeks now. All my files are fine, but I think the mobo's toast. Which means no updates until I can get a new one. Sorry. >_<
Also, I made little triangles! As the update headers. Because triangles are the best thing EVER. And everyone should have them. Love the triangle. ::: I want to see if that is a point-down triangle, which, probably not but it should be close. Let's put it in the engine and see, shall we?
Cleaned and posted enough screens to finish out the row. It looks neater now, which is always nice.
The upshot of rough, restless nights: Unico screencaps. (Yes, only a few; I'm still renaming them all, since the capture engine names them stuff like "FRAME 1832736764364 034". I have over a hundred to go still.)
GO SEE Revenge of the Sith. GO NOW.
In other news, I finished up the Unico and Beezle arc. Renaming, organizing, and thumbnailing may take awhile, since I took 228 shots. Out of more than 50,000 possible frames.
Don't ever let anyone tell you taking screencaps is not work. And while you're at it, say thank you. XD
Lots of capping (screencaptures) behind the scenes. I'm trying to get the entire "Beezle and Unico" sequence done BEFORE I post any.
I have about six thousand individual frames to go, still. XD
PS: I'm going to Revenge of the Sith tomorrow. And so should you. Unless you, like, live under a rock or something. Or you hate Americans and love terrorism.
Go see this movie. It's what George "Moneybags" Lucas President Bush Master Yoda would want you to do. ^_^
Code finished. *Faints.*
Thumbnails next OMF.
Most of the coding done, all clean and shiny, etc. etc. Unico caps going nicely. Have about 23 new ones.
Now to spend like an hour making thumbnails and finishing code. XD
And yes, there are number-signs instead of colons bracketing the dates. This is for two reasons: one, they should look distinct to draw attention to themselves, and two, I am not interested in going back and re-doing all of those manually.
Don't like? Too bad. My site.
I win.
Know what? Old site was too much fucking work and not a good time for me anymore.
So I changed it. GO ME.
Instead of "Happy New Years" and halfassed resolutions no one ever keeps, you get Mad Season by Ghostwriter 155. Mutantshipping (Baraka/Mileena); custom-written. And it is MINE. ALLLL MINE. *Evil laughter.*
Anthy shrine: formatted, fixed. Miki shrine: font-fix and other aesthetic corrections. Diva shrine: formatted, fixed. Currently working on: formatting and fixing the Captain EO shrine.
In other news: I have a bad head/chest cold of some sort, so go ahead and lower your expectations some more ^_~
I hate the fucking holidays, I really do. *Sneeze!*
A reinstall and bug-remover fixed AnimShop! y4y! XD I took a few new 'caps, and I'm working on renaming, thumbnailing, and arranging the others I still have for updating.
Maybe Thanksgiving weekend. But don't quote me on that. ^_~
Where've I been? College, of course, silly.
Unico shrine update! Go see! ^_^
AnimShop still doesn't work, but luckily I capped more of these than I thought was necessary at the time. Thank goodness.
FINALLY put up the link out front so visitors without Redensek can go fetch it. It's free and cool, so get to it!
Taking advantage of my "hurricane day" off from school to give the Miki shrine its new look. I'm really pleased with the way the corner graphic came out. The color scheme, alt-text, and general melancholy feel are all inspired by the Babybird song "Atomic Soda", which reminds me of Miki. The look also seems kinda wintery, which is nice, because I've wanted a wintery theme on the site in some capacity for a while now.
Updates with the Unico shrine will be piecemeal; AnimationShop quit functioning on me in the middle of capping a batch, and now has some kind of virtual runtime error everytime I tell it to read something. *Grumble*.
Not really a bugifx; tweaking border properties in the Unico shrine so the text doesn't "pinch" so much. It works fine in IE and Firefox; low (earlier than 4.0) versions of Netscape will probably just ignore it. That doesn't look so great, but at least it doesn't mess up the whole page, either.
Actually, I'll probably do a lot with the Unico gallery today; it's my between day and I really, really need to blow off steam. My stress meter's been ripped clean off the scale and assraped by blowtorch-wielding howler monkeys. And that is the positive version.
The Unico gallery is up. Nineteen screens available currently. Barring power outages, I'll make a bunch more this weekend. ^_^
Fixed index page, updates page, links page. Working on finalizing all code for the guests page.
Also avoiding horrid horrid EVIL literature homework.
Bugfix; pages now work in FireFox. That, btw, was because of Nyohah. She pointed me at the fact that the ads straddled--get this!--both the image AND the "links" < div >. Meaning: changed Trinity to a < div >, locked her to the top of the page as index: 1, and the problem is gone.
Many thanks, girl. *^_^*
Note: Nutscrape Netscape users might have slight problems with the CSS, though it's clean. In other words, if you have the most current version, then it should be fine.
No, I'm not gonna check, and stop staring at me with your mouth open XD
Changed the sidebars around to accomodate the Guests page. After giving myself multiple tension headaches, I changed the main font from Redensek to Verdana and altered the font sizes instead. The effect is almost the same, but much less visually taxing. Which is good, since we're all going to be staring at this layout for awhile.
Note that the sidebar is still in Redensek, because it just looks so kickass-cool that way.
Speaking of: I also fixed the Updates page sidebar, since evidently I did something weird with the < div > command to break it.
Thinking about the Smith and Mileena shrines. Both are agonizingly long overdue. Neither are anywhere near complete.
I cannot wait for Mortal Kombat: Deception.
Major tweaking of the look, based primarily around a font change and an additional division on the side for the links.
We can all thank "The Art of the Matrix" hardcover book for the adjustments. I also re-wrote the Layout and Links pages. And wrote up "empty" template code that ought to cut the Guests page html work in half.
I'm thinking the shrines may pose a serious headache. *Wince.* I'm so not looking forward to that.
The new look has been chosen. *Cary Tagawa moment* IT. HAS. BEGUN. *^_^*
Totally independent of the Internet, since Hurricane Frances decided to knock out my cable about an hour ago. If there really is a Hurricane Frances. If I'm really sitting here.
Damn Matrix layout. It's making me all existential and causing me to doubt my own reality.
Which is senseless. Right?
For now, the sidebar will always be this Trinity image, but now that I know an awesome brilliant workaround that I humbly designed myself, I may change them to include Morpheus, Niobe and the indefatigable Smith.
Mmmm, Smith.
Smith and Neo. In the rain. Touching. Okay, kicking the shit out of each other. Sheesh. Be that way.
You know, of the good ones, Morpheus is my favorite...Morpheus. Trapped underneath Smith. On a bathroom floor.
Okay, okay, shutting up now.
